Your voice work stays on your Mac.

Speakintosh is built so that text-to-speech, voice samples and generated audio are processed locally. This policy explains the limited network data used to deliver and operate the app.

Updated 27 August 2026

What stays local

Your entered text, imported or recorded voice samples, voice references and generated audio are processed and stored on your Mac. Speakintosh does not upload them for speech generation.

  • No script or transcript is sent to Speakintosh.
  • No audio or voice sample is sent to Speakintosh.
  • No project, track or file name is included in diagnostics.

What the app connects for

An internet connection is used to download Speakintosh and its model files, start and verify a trial, activate or refresh a license, check for updates and, only if you opt in, send limited diagnostics.

  • Cloudflare delivers the website, app and model files and necessarily processes connection data such as an IP address.
  • Trial eligibility uses a random installation UUID and a one-way device digest. The service stores a hash, not the underlying device identifiers used to derive it.
  • License records contain the information needed to issue, activate, recover or revoke a license.

Optional diagnostics

Diagnostics are off unless you agree to them. Accepted fields are restricted to operational data such as event type, app and macOS versions, interface language, voice category, processing duration and take count.

  • Never the text you entered or its transcript.
  • Never audio, a voice sample or generated speech.
  • Never project names, track names or filenames.

Email, payment and license delivery

If you buy Speakintosh, your email address and order or license status are used to confirm the purchase, deliver the license and help you recover it. Resend is used to send transactional license emails. The payment provider handles payment details under its own privacy policy; Speakintosh does not receive your full card number.

Security and retention

Server APIs use a hashed network key for abuse prevention in one-hour windows. Entries older than about 48 hours are deleted during subsequent API activity. Trial, purchase and license records are kept only as needed to enforce the trial, provide the license, meet legal obligations and resolve support requests. Optional diagnostic records can be deleted on request where they can be linked to your installation.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. EU and EEA residents may also complain to their local supervisory authority; in France, this is the CNIL.
