Mac requirements

Apple silicon: M1 or newer.
macOS 15 or later.
8 GB unified memory minimum; 16 GB recommended.
About 4 GB for the core model, or about 8 GB with the optional Voice Designer model. Keep at least 10 GB free during download and installation.

Install the direct download

Download Speakintosh.dmg, open it and place Speakintosh in Applications. Launch that copy so macOS and the Dock do not keep pointing to an older build.

If macOS cannot verify the current build, try opening it once, then go to System Settings › Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway.
A properly signed and notarized release will remove this extra confirmation when Apple distribution is ready.
Do not run Speakintosh from the disk image or keep duplicate copies in Downloads.

Download the local models

The core model is required on first launch. Voice Designer is optional and can be downloaded later. Downloads are resumable: if the connection drops, retry from the app instead of starting over manually.

Keep the Mac awake and connected during the first download.
Check that at least 10 GB is free before installing both models.
Text, recordings and generated audio are not uploaded with a model download.

Trial and license

The full trial lasts 14 days from activation. An internet connection is needed to start it. After purchase, paste the license received by email; the app then verifies it periodically. If the email does not arrive, check spam and contact us from the address used at checkout.

If a generation sounds wrong

Use a clear, varied and permitted voice reference without clipping when cloning.
Confirm the output language; a voice can retain its native accent in another language.
Compare more than one take and keep the cleanest result.
If a repeatable failure remains, include the app version, Mac model, macOS version and the steps that reproduce it.
